Kel-Mac Saddle Club is proud to be able to donate money to help two worth causes in 2009.
With proceeds from our
fundraiser shows we were able to give the Georgia Department of
Agriculture--Mansfield Equine Impound $1500.00 to help feed and care for horses
that are in desperate need. Working with
Robin Easley of the Department of Agriculture, has been such a great thing for
our club to be involved with. If you would like to help the horses at the
impound you can make a personal donation.
Just send it to: Georgia Department of Agriculture, Equine Health
Section, Room 14319, MLK Jr. Dr., Atlanta,
GA 30334 Attention: Robin
Easley or if you have any questions or
would like to volunteer at the Mansfield Equine Impound, you can contact Robin
at Robin.Easley@agr.georgia.gov
Kel-Mac also helped support
the Sheriff's Empty Stocking Fund of Morgan County. Our monetary donation of $100.00 helped make
Christmas a little happier for some underprivileged children in the
county. For several years the sheriff's
department has allowed some supervised trustees to help Susie set up the jump
courses for the shows and they also are the ones that clean out the stalls and
help prepare the facility for events.
Our donation is just a very small way of saying "Thank You" to
Sheriff Robert Markley of Morgan County.
